Heat consumption billing systems

These are systems whose function is to apportion individual consumption in collective heating installations. They are small devices that are placed at each radiator and collect certain parameters that are periodically converted into real consumption, in energy or economic terms.

It should be noted that according to Royal Decree 1027/2007 which approves the RITE regulation and Directive 93/76, among other provisions, in community heating or hot water installations, equipment to apportion heating costs, individual meters and other appliances with a similar purpose are considered energy saving and efficiency measures for the purposes of article 17.3 of the Horizontal Property Act. Their voluntary installation by the residents’ association requires a favourable vote from three fifths of the owners.

They can be complemented by thermostatic valves that allow better regulation of the radiator and a reduction in energy consumption.
