On 17 February 2015, IDAE and AVEBIOM (SPANISH BIOMASS ENERGY VALUATION ASSOCIATION) signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of raising public awareness of the technical, integration, economic and financial possibilities of the different options for using thermal biomass in buildings.
The dissemination activities consisted of ten informative exhibitions (each three days long) in the cities of Valladolid, Vitoria, Logroño, Guadalajara, Burgos, Mérida, León, Orense, Oviedo and Santander. The result has been very satisfactory, reaching a wide range of customer and stakeholder segments: owners of single-family houses, residents associations, users of biomass equipment, local installers, biofuel manufacturers, architects, housing developers and property managers.
Given the success of the event, in December 2015 the agreement was expanded to include informative exhibitions in 8 other cities. In March 2016, exhibitions were held in Pamplona and Mollerusa, and in April and May, in Segovia and Salamanca, respectively. After the summer, the exhibitions will continue in another four Spanish cities.
