Self-consumption regulations

The regulatory framework for self-consumption is perfectly defined and falls under Law 24/2013, of December 26, on the Electricity Sector.

The fundamental regulation on self-consumption appears contained in RD 244/2019, which regulates the economic, technical and administrative conditions that govern self-consumption.

Furthermore, the regulatory framework includes different provisions that regulate different aspects related to self-consumption such as access and connection procedures, technical regulations, European network regulations as well as regional and local regulations.
